S - Hello! I’m here in beautiful, sunny Highgate to interview well-established actor, Larry Lamb, well known for his role as Archie Mitchell in the programme, East Enders. Today I’ll be talking to him about his acting experience, his hearing loss, his views on technology and his hopes and dreams for the future.

S - Hello.

LL - Hello.

S - Can you tell me what inspired you to get involved in acting?

LL - I have to say nothing really inspired me to get involved with acting; it was sort of an accident, really. I started to do amateur theatre when I was in my twenties and it became my hobby and the hobby just made me, I suppose, in the end I learned a bit about it and then in the end an opportunity presented itself and I took a chance and became a professional actor, which all sounds a bit easy. It’s not easy, it’s just chance, luck, really.
